About the Fund

What does the Fund invest in?
The Fund will only invest in stocks that are listed or about to be listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and may hold some cash.

Does the Fund use derivatives?
The Fund will from time to time use derivatives (generally exchange traded options) to generate incremental income, reduce risk or provide exposure to individual securities. Derivatives will not be used to leverage and will be limited to no more than 10% of the Fund's value.

How long should I invest for?
Shares are a volatile investment and therefore we recommend an investment timeframe of 5-7 years.

Can I get professional advice?
Sure. A financial adviser can help you make investment decisions suitable to your investment objectives, financial and personal situation, risk tolerance and level of investment experience. Find your local Guild financial adviser using our Office Locator.

Do you have a unit pricing policy?
GCAM Unit Pricing Policy is available on request, at no charge. Go to our Resources page to download.

The minimum initial wholesale investment is $250,000. Depending on the amount you initially invest, reduced fees are payable. See 'How much does the Fund cost?'

Yes. The unit price is adjusted to reflect transaction costs of buying or selling assets respectively. The buy / sell spread is currently 0.30%.

How will I be kept informed of my investment?
We will keep you up-to-date on your investment by:

  • Confirming every investment and withdrawal you make,

  • Sending you a report each year to help with your tax return,
  • Sending you the accounts of the Fund each year around September,
  • Notifying you of any material changes to the PDS and any other significant events,

Payments and Withdrawals

How do I withdraw my investments?
Simply contact us by letter, quoting your investor number and the amount or the number of units you wish to withdraw. You will need to sign the request. Your investment can normally be accessed within 10 days in the normal course of business. The Responsible Entity may use its discretion to delay withdrawals in some circumstances.

Distributions

What are distributions?
Distributions comprise your share of any income (ie companies that have paid dividends during the half year or year that the Fund has invested in), interest and realised capital gains earned by the Fund in the period. See our recent distributions.

How often does the Fund distribute?
The Fund distributes income half yearly. Income distributions are ordinarily reinvested, but use the application form to tell us, or contact us anytime, if you would like us to pay them to you.

What about tax?
In all likelihood you will need to pay tax in relation to your investment in this Fund-generally income or capital gains tax-but depending on your personal situation you might be able to claim some tax credits or have the benefits of some concessions. We recommend that you seek professional advice before you invest or deal with your investment.
