We have formed a close working relationship with the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA). Through this partnership we have learned about the unique insurance needs of your sector which has enabled us to design our insurance cover specifically for you. Our professional liabilities insurance for dietitians includes three key areas of cover: Professional Indemnity Professional Indemnity insurance provides cover for claims made against you for a breach (act, error or omission or conduct) of your professional duty as an dietitian. Cover is also provided for libel and slander, wrongful arrest, Trade Practices Act and Fair Trading Acts. Public Liability Public liability covers your civil liability for claims made by third parties (patients, members of the public, visitors, trespassers, contractors, etc) who may be physically injured or whose property may be damaged, or both, arising from your business. Goods Sold and Advice on Goods Sold Liability Products Liability covers you for your liability for claims arising from goods sold, supplied or administered by you, in connection with your occupation as a Dietitian. Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) members insured with Guild are able to choose from the following four premium categories:
There is a range of additional reasons why the DAA chooses to refer members to Guild, including: Guild's policy automatically includes $25,000 cover for legal costs and expenses associated with disciplinary proceedings or a coronial inquiry. Not all policies offer this cover and many have considerably lower limits.
