2007 Dietitians Liabilities Insurance renewals

Guild and Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) are pleased to announce that there will be no increase in Dietitians Liabilities Insurance premium rates for the coming year.

In fact, Dietitians in the private sector with $10 million indemnity will experience a significant reduction in their Liabilities insurance premium. Your tailored dietitians policy will continue to cover you for the full scope of your work as an accredited practising dietitian. As a reminder, DAA members pay up to 50% less than non-members on Guild premiums.

A choice of indemnity level

We offer a choice of $2 million, $5 million or $10 million cover, so you can choose the indemnity level that's right for you. Liability cover for $1 million is not offered to any of our client groups in allied healthcare because this amount of cover is considered insufficient to safeguard practitioners against personal injury claims arising from a number of exposures (i.e. public liability).

A choice of employment status

We recognise that not all dietitians are the same. Whether you work in the private or public sector, full time or part time, you can select a policy to match your employment status. It's important to remember that working restricted hours doesn't mean you should have a lower indemnity limit because, while working less may reduce the likelihood of an incident, it doesn't reduce the quantum of any potential claim.
